UBM Electronics’ Special Digital Issue on the Impact of the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami Raises Over $133,000 to Assist Japanese People and Businesses


SAN FRANCISCO, April 7, 2011 – UBM Electronics, a UBM company and the daily source of essential business and technical information for the electronics industry’s decision makers, today announced that the EE Times special digital issue entitled “The Day the Lights Went Out in Japan” raised over $133,000 thus far for American Red Cross relief efforts to assist Japanese people and businesses.

  1. The National Japanese American Historical Society (www.njahs.org) in San Francisco, where I’m a member, provides links to Sendai fundraising sites.

    Although most Japanese Americans came from Tokyo and the western prefectures, there are some Japanese and JAs from the Tohoku region. We hope they contribute comments, videos and photos from Sendai to update this blog.
